Why You Should Consider an Extended Stay Hotel for Your Next Long Term Trip

If you are going on a business trip that lasts a few weeks or even a month, you probably will want to consider a non-traditional hotel that has more amenities for long term trips. After all, you get very tired of eating in restaurants and having to find a place to do your laundry. Who enjoys that after two weeks? Fortunately in America today there is a hotel chain called Extended Stay America that specializes in travelers like you. We have stayed at this chain at three different locations in the last two years and we found the accommodations excellent for a longer term traveler.

At an Extended Stay America, you will enjoy their new Signature suites. These rooms are laid out in a very open and fresh fashion that gives business travelers plenty of room to stretch out. You will like this hotel's contemporary décor and comfortable bedding.

The biggest advantage of an extended stay hotel room, of course, is the kitchen. You will not need to be going out to expensive restaurants with high calorie food. Your kitchen will include a refrigerator that is full size, a microwave oven, stove top, toaster, cooking utensils, coffee maker, dishes and silverware. You will have everything that you need to cook a meal in your hotel room. Also, you will have clean, plentiful laundry facilities on your site. You will not need to search out places to do your laundry. Your room will have wireless Internet access and a large desk space, so you can take care of your business work right in your room when you want.

The television in the Extended Stay America room has a flat screen cable tv with 4 movie channels. You also have an iron and a full size ironing board in your room.

The business traveler has several choices available regarding housekeeping. You receive a full service cleaning every seven days, that includes dusting, change of linens and towels, vacuuming, emptying of your trash, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, and refilling soap and toilet paper as needed. You can have more full cleanings done at $10 per service. You also can have an optional refresh service when you like for $5 per service that will replace towels, empty trash, refill soap and toilet paper. Or you can have a daily refresh for an additional $3 per day.

You can even bring your pet along with your on your trip. Most of these business hotels will allow you to keep one pet per room. You should check with your individual hotel to make sure they do not have any special restrictions on types and sizes of pets.

We think that Extended Stay America is a fine choice for the long term business traveler. It provides ample services that make you feel as if you are at home, and at a very fair weekly rate. It usually is less expensive to stay at one of these long term business hotels for 2 weeks than it is to pay a regular nightly rate at a regular hotel.
