When it comes to your health, it's all about getting the right vitamins and supplements in your diet. Sometimes it's easy to get the nutrients we need through food, but every day isn't perfect, and sometimes we need to invest in high quality vitamins that we can take every day, to insure we get the right amount for our bodies to keep running the proper way.

The first vitamin you need to have for your system is Vitamin A. A lack of Vitamin A can cause a variety of issues, from headaches to dry skin and poor growth for children who do not have the right amount every day. It improves the health of your eyes, bones, skin, teeth and mucus membranes (meaning fewer issues with a stuffy nose).

When looking at vitamins and supplements you should consider a B-complex vitamin. This includes all the B water-soluble B vitamins which s B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12. These vitamins improve skin and hair, promote metabolizing carbs and proteins, and help the heart and nervous system. They are pretty important in their overall help of the body and lack of them can cause all kinds of a variety of issues to the aforementioned systems.

Vitamin C is the one we all know and love, helping to boost the immune system which helps us fight off infection and bacteria. If you are tired of the sniffles and getting sick a lot in the winter, then make sure you are getting enough vitamin C in your diet.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps keep your heart healthy and is great for heart disease prevention. A deficiency in Vitamin E can be hard to detect, but if you've felt particularly off balance or dizzy lately, it could be the cause.

Buying a multi-vitamin can be an easy way to cover a lot of your bases, but you just have to be sure there's a good amount of each vitamin within it. Also, not every multi-vitamin covers all of these so make sure you read labels closely. Sometimes getting a bottle of each vitamin separately can be the easiest way to keep track and make sure you are getting a full 100% of everything.

Never take too much of one vitamin, either. You can overdose on vitamins and that will potentially cause unwanted side effects. There is such thing as too much, so keep track of your daily intake well.
