Cuba vacations are one way that people satisfy their desire for hot temperatures and sandy beaches. When booking Cuba vacations, be sure to ask your travel agent about all the fun things there is to do in Cuba, so you can get the most out of your trip. Since the country relies so heavily on tourist dollars, most areas are generally safe, but you can ask your agent or employees at your resort which areas are best avoided. You should be able to find scores of fun things to do on Cuba vacations, whether you like history, fine dining or physical activity. Of course, you can lounge on the beach and just enjoy the sun, but for those who want more, Cuba vacations are a great way to do it.

For dining, you can explore several different regions and cuisines in restaurants such as Paladar La Guarida, Café Literario del G, Los Nardos, Real Fabrica de Tabacos Partagas and Club Habana. Your resort, travel agent or friends may also have suggestions for memorable places to dine while on Cuba vacations. If you are interested in history, you may want to visit the museum at Playa Girón, which is the site of the failed bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. Baracoa is another historical place that many nature buffs visit when on Cuba vacations.

The Capitolio in the center of Havana was built to mimic the Capitol in Washington, DC. The shipwreck museum in Castillo de la Real Fuerza is also a fascinating place for many history buffs. You can also enjoy the view of the Valley of the Sugar Mills from an old slave watchtower called Torre de Manaca Iznaga. If you are a fan of Ernest Hemingway you can do an organized pub crawl featuring some of his favorite places. Afterward, you can visit the suite he stayed in at the Hotel Ambos Mundos, where he supposedly wrote a portion of "For Whom the Bell Tolls."

If diving is your thing, you'll find over 30 dive sites on Cuba vacations. In some places, you can also experience wreck diving and go down to explore real shipwrecks under the ocean's surface. You'll likely see scores of marine life and picturesque reefs, depending on your precise location. In other areas, you can explore mountains and caves and underground rivers, ride horseback through sugarcane fields or tobacco fields or watch dancers perform at the Cuban ballet.

Once all the sightseeing and fun daytime activities are over, you can explore Cuba's nightlife. Your resort may have a lot to offer as part of all-inclusive Cuba vacations, but if not, there are other options. Take a trip to Havana's Vedado district to party to your heart's content. Always ask at your hotel, which areas are best to avoid, then go out and enjoy all the music and dancing that the night life in Cuba has to offer. Cuba vacations have a little bit to offer just about everyone.
