The Confusing World of Ecommerce: Bow Before Your New God

Ecommerce; everyone uses the word but few people know what it means. This article will change that. Ecommerce is short for electric commerce. You must be thinking "But I don't sell electricity, Mark. How does this affect me?" One word: Internet. The internet is the modern realm of ecommerce business, ecommerce crime, and ecommerce socializing. Basically anything and everything you do offline you can do online and it becomes an ecommerce solution. This may seem confusing but the internet has changed the way we do business. It will continue to do so until it becomes self-aware and enslaves or destroys humans. Until that day, however, we can benefit from ecommerce business solutions.

The internet is the manifestation of the collective consciousness of all the world's computer, cell phones, and the ghost of Steve Jobs. Computers are pretty capitalistic machines so their collective being is really into selling stuff. Enter ecommerce business, which really means asking out computerized overlords to sell your products in their murky electric world.

This means setting up a website and optimizing it with Google. Goggle is the god of the computers. Google is Jesus, Shiva and Thor rolled into one for the modern world. If you want to sell anything is the world of ecommerce you need to have the blessings of Google. It is a common misconception that Google was invented by people. It emerged from the cyber ether and promptly hired a full staff. Before it could ascend to throne of ruler of the internet it had to slay several lesser cyber deities like Alta Vista and Yahoo. Google devoured them. Think The Matrix meets The Book of Acts only without all that stuff in Corinthians about love.

Now that you know a bit about the savage birth of Google and ecommerce websites let's move on to why paying homage to your new God is important. No one leaves the house any more. They are too scared. So everything they buy is purchased through computers and the internet. Google dolls out search rankings and the better your rankings are the more you will appear on people's computers.

Right now, you are wondering "What makes my new God happy?" SEO (search engine optimization) , meta-tagging, and key word optimized content are the tithe you pay to make Google happy. If want your website and business to be successful you need to research these concepts. Until Google brings us to a Revelations meets the big bang end, your business will prosper.
