Fur coats are a luxurious choice when it comes to clothing. It's not always easy to afford a fur coat, but if you've saved up for it, it's quite an investment. You won't wear anything else as warm and as eye catching as a well-made fur coat. There are different kinds of furs you can choose from and your choice may be due to price, look, color, or feel. But, it's good to know what options you have before you buy anything. The two most popular types of fur are mink and fox. Mink coats look incredibly luxurious, are super soft and have a shiny kind of aesthetic. Mink is more often used in entire coats, but fox tends to be used more as a trimming. You'll find it as part of the collar, cuffs on the ends of sleeves, stoles, and trimming to capes. Both can be found in a variety of colors, but you'll find many pieces in brown or gray. Chinchilla fur is another popular choice. It's a very soft fur and seems to have a slightly blue sheen over its gray coloring. The underfur is incredibly thick in texture and a great choice if you live in locations where it can be incredibly cold. It can be a bit pricey, however. If you are looking for more affordable fur coats, rabbit is one of the cheapest options. It's often used in fur coats for children which are far less expensive than those for adults but still very soft and luxurious. The only issue is that rabbit fur tends to shed more than other fur coats, so it's OK for a first fur coat but you'll want to invest in a mink or fox that will be better made. Raccoon fur is another option for coats that are very dense and durable, because the fur itself naturally is. Sable fur is the most expensive. Sable fur is from Russia and is rare and found in limited quantities, hence its high price. They are typical brown coats be-speckled with silver, so you can spot one a mile away by both the color and its price. If you can afford a sable fur coat and can even find one, go for it! It's an opportunity you can't pass up. No matter which you choose, there's a fur for you within your budget and that matches your kind of style. Be sure to really inspect the fur, feel it, try it on, and make sure it is the perfect one for you. Fur coat shopping should take you a little longer than a regular coat because there's so much more to them!
