Chandeliers are much more than dining room accoutrements. They are decorations with personality; mood setters of an unparalleled class. There is a reason that creativity is associated with illumination- intuitive lighting can completely transform one's perspective of a room. There are plenty of ways to incorporate a crystal chandelier into your home and in some of the more unexpected locations. So, what good are these lights outside of highlighting your dinner table? Plenty! The interesting thing about such decadent accessories is that they automatically draw the eye. This means that they can be used as a way to guide glances. How do your eyes follow the interior design? Are you more attracted to the color or the shapes? Crystal chandeliers can make certain aspects pop and dull others. They come in a variety of designs too: vintage brass and gold, Venetian, modern and art deco. Which type is most suitable for your home? Bathrooms look like resort spas with the proper light fixtures and tile walls and flooring. Kitchens can be made into gorgeous villa getaways. Foyers can bounce light any which way and dazzle houseguests. If you want your chandeliers to be most effective, check the wattage of the bulbs. That, and adding a shade or cover will alter how beams emanate and reflect off surfaces. It can add a gloss and glow that wasn't there previously. In a dining room, the traditional location, the chandelier should be half the width of the table and hang a minimum of 32 inches above it. These proportions are known to give the best results for appearance sake. The general rule for chandeliers in other rooms is that you add the length and width of the room. The sum should be equivalent to the diameter of the chandelier. The chandelier should always hang higher above furniture than off the floor. You do not have to center these pieces, but you can if you so choose. Outdoors you can use non-electrical fixtures with candles for a romantic scene. They're opulent décor for patios and outdoor serving areas near pools or covered gardens. They add to the liveliness off spring and summer seasons, and add warmth and brightness during the colder seasons. Even some of the electric-run chandelier lights work great right outside the front or back door to the home, and look great in tandem with sconces and other wall lights. So, take some time, maybe work on a plan for your home renovation. Work some kind of crystal chandelier into the new design.
