I have some friends who from time to time can get a bit paranoid. It's not their fault. Everyone gets anxiety about this thing or that thing but this is a very specific and easily managed paranoia. They worry like a lot of people have been lately about whether they have a bed bug infestation. At least once a week a different person is contacting me concerned about how to identify bed bugs. Not only is this first step easily searchable on the web, it is also not the way to go about dealing with a bed bug problem. If your home or office shows even the slightest sign of being infested you need to act quickly and get professional assistance into your home as soon as possible. Taking care of the problem early is your best bet for handling it thoroughly. The first thing is to get an inspection as soon as possible. Bed bug dogs will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt whether you do or do not have a problem with these critters. It is the best way to ensure that you have without a doubt those specific kinds of bugs. In some cases homes could have an infestation of far less entrenched bugs that might come and go with the seasons but who's bites are similar to that of bed bugs. This is why simply Googling the way your bug bites look is not a guaranteed method of identifying the problem. Once you have identified the problem of course the real chores come. A lot of stuff might be easier to throw away while some things might be easily salvageable. Do not freak out! Instead talk to people who know their stuff and can help you deal with this bed bug infestation in as comfortable and undisruptive a way as possible. You probably do not need an entirely new wardrobe. Instead you can likely suffocate the bugs in bags and kill them with some helpful and long overdue cleaning of all of your items. Once you have identified the problem and begin the process, mercurial though it may seem, of getting rid of these tiny beasts you will likely be surprised by how quickly things fall into place. Instead of having some nightmare scenario where you have no idea how to proceed and deal with the problem you will find yourself getting rid of the bed bug infestation and you might even find your home more charmingly cleanly.
