If you're looking for a little bit of a facelift, you should consider all of your options. You should look at all of the possible treatments available to you and pick the best one. If you don't know much about laser rejuvenation, here are some great tips and some interesting facts that you should know before deciding on a skin regimen and treatment. First, you should be aware that the use of lasers is key to this procedure. If you are uncomfortable with this type of newer technology, perhaps this isn't the best option for you. The lasers used in current procedures are called non-ablative lasers .These are lasers that keep the top part of the skin or epidermis intact and mainly focus on the under layers of your skin. It is used to stimulate collagen in the lower layers of your skin to give a more healthful, youthful glow and improve elasticity. Laser rejuvenation is a process that can be done in the comfort of a doctor's office and usually lasts anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half. With the extremely maneuverable and small laser, the doctor is able to pinpoint any spots that are problems and leave anything surrounding it intact. The treatments are usually done anywhere from four to six times and takes place every four weeks or so. There is a short healing time but you might be prescribed antibiotics by your doctor to ensure you do not get any infections. This is common and there are really no horrific or even intense side effects from this type of procedure. You will also likely be given a dressing to keep on your skin immediately following treatment. Once you take this dressing off it is important to use mild cleansers to keep your skin from drying out. All in all, when used to treat problems such as wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, and sun damage laser rejuvenation is a very effective means to rid your skin of these blemishes. After the final treatments are administered, your scars, dark spots, and even mild to moderate wrinkles are vastly and noticeably improved. Again, if you're thinking of getting any type of skin treatment you should consult your dermatologist and a specialist that is practiced in the specific procedure you're trying to get. Also check out reviews of specific doctors. You want your skin to look brilliant, young, and healthy so don't use substandard doctors or treatments that are not right for you.
