Since the dawn of time man has looked to the future and though of what might be. Primitive man dreamed of a world free from the scourge of disease and saber tooth tigers. Slightly less primitive man dreamed of world free of hunger and polio. Join me now as I take an educated look at the future of safety apparel as informed by science fiction, dreams, and visions. Since the dawn of time man has sought to protect his head. Why? Because the head is the space of dreams. Man also noticed early on he would die shortly after being divorced from his head. So the helmet was invented. The helmet has served man well for many centuries but in the future construction safety helmets will not be helmets at all. They will be crystal necklaces that emit a protective barrier around the entire head. They will be impenetrable. The crystals will come in a variety of vivid colors and head injuries will be a thing of the past. They will work because of advances in gravity and magnetism. Cooling gear in the future will also be made of crystals. I firmly believe that the potential of crystals will be discovered around the year 2050. These ice crystals will be small, so small in fact that one the size of a grain of sand will be cool enough keep 20 men cool in the hottest desert. This advancement will affect cooling gear as well as air conditioning and refrigeration. Traffic safety supplies won't be necessary because cars will fly around, like in the movie The Fifth Element. Safety vests will not be strictly for construction sites. People will wear them all the time and they will protect people from physical harm and also from disease. These future safety vests will also be at the height of fashion and will glow in different colors according to people's moods. These safety vests will make it easier to communicate because the colors will indicate the wearer's mood. Construction site safety will not be necessary because all the heavy lifting will be done be robots. People will strap into computers and control these beings telepathically. Like all things in the future this will be made possible with advancements in man's understanding of the fundamental principles regarding energy, light, gravity, and of course crystals. In the future anything will be possible. Things may seem bad now but we need to stick it out for the time being.
