Use A Junk Removal Service To Help You Get Ready For The Holidays

Preparing for the holidays involves a lot of work, and you may feel overwhelmed by all you have to do in order to be ready. If you realize that you feel too overwhelmed by this process and need help with house junk removal, contact a junk removal service to help make your home ready for any guests. While the junk removal business will help you with large jobs such as bulk trash pickup, there are smaller steps that you may take to keep your home clean and festive for the holidays.

Your first step should be to create a list of chores and an accompanying timeline. Get major cleaning and similar tasks done in the weeks and days leading up to the holiday and save the lighter touchups for the night before or the morning of the holiday. For example, three days to one week before the holidays, wash and press tablecloths, cloth napkins, and bed linens, and store them away to keep them wrinkle-free and clean for company. Wash and shine your silver, china, and crystal.

Clean all light fixtures and lampshades, and dust any ceiling fans. Use a damp cloth placed over the bottom of a broom to remove any high hanging cobwebs. Scrub the oven and the refrigerator; clean its top exterior and remove any old food from it. Dust all the baseboards and windowsills; this will not be your only time dusting them in anticipation of the holidays, but it will get rid of any major dust bunnies. Wash the windows and vacuum furniture upholstery.

Two days before the holiday, vacuum and/or mop the floors of the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, etc. Scrub the bathrooms, including sinks, tubs, and toilets. Abolish all clutter including old magazines, newspapers, knickknacks, etc. If, as you clean, you realize that the house is overrun with stuff and will not be ready for the holiday season without some assistance, contact a junk removal service. A reputable one will come in, clean up, and clear out all your excess, unwanted belongings and either dispose of or donate them accordingly. After you have eliminated the mess, resume your cleaning. Wash out wastebaskets and scour the stovetop. Dust all the picture frames and computer and television screens.

Sweep your front stoop the morning of the holiday. Polish sink faucets and wipe smudges and smears off of the dishwasher, oven, etc. Wipe off the bathroom mirrors and counters and mop the bathroom floors. Put new soap and fresh towels and mats in the bathrooms. Give the kitchen floor a cursory once-over with either a mop or broom.

Organizing chores according to timeliness and importance makes getting ready for the holiday season more enjoyable, which means that when the holiday arrives you will be able to more fully appreciate it.
