I am rather terrible at making holiday shopping lists or for that matter birthday lists for my friends and families. Not just because I just generally have a hard time thinking of stuff I totally want but I also draw a complete blank on things I actually need. Months after the holidays or my birthday I will suddenly find myself wandering around my home looking for some particular new kitchen appliances I never realized I did not have. A snow fall in February will have me wondering where my snow gear might be. I wonder why I have run out of clean underwear or dress shirts. I need a solution to my present getting problem and I have decided that it is making a list. Starting now, too late for this holiday season I will begin compiling a list of my needs that can act as a fantastic guide to those looking to reward my companionship with gifts. This year when my love seat finally falls apart under the weight of one of my friends watching football I'm going to make not of it on my list. Then next year my friends and loved ones can browse for some discount home furniture. Boom! Everyone's happy! Especially me and my roommates. Just putting together this article and thinking about things that my apartment lacks is actually unlocking a lot of things I need from my brain. There was that tea set we saw several months ago while browsing catalogs. I saw it and immediately thought that I as an adult should be prepared to make guests tea in a classy looking tea set, like a wealthy person might. All in all I think this new method for compiling a list of the things that I absolutely require is going to be a very fruitful one. Even things that are not purchased for me will now all be conveniently listed in one place that I can consult with every time I got to the mall or as I browse the websites I favor for my favorite new stuff. Seriously it is going to be nice to finally get my life in order by owning stuff that is not just iTunes gift-cards and large comfy sweaters. (Do not get me wrong though I enjoy purchasing digitally downloaded music, and who doesn't like some cozy and warm winter wear?) Put it on a list! Who could have been smart enough to think of this? Just me!
