Red carpets are an icon in themselves. They mean something glamorous, glittering, and special is happening. Award shows, movie premiers, and weddings all use red carpet runners to make their event a little more special and prestigious. When you see a red carpet, you think beauty, fashion, and paparazzi. Wouldn't it be great if you could harness some of that glamour and sparkle in your own life? Why couldn't you? Why couldn't you be your own movie star? I posit that you can. Here's how you make yourself feel like a paparazzi chased superstar in your own home. First, get yourself a great haircut. Nothing makes a person feel better than a nice new hairstyle that suits your face, your clothes and your style. Get a little funky and go for some new color, too! Why not? If Lindsay Lohan can do it, why not you? Change it up! To go with your new hairstyle, you're going to need at least one new outfit. Go completely glam and get a black tie type ensemble, a great little black dress or a fantastic new tux. There is no better way to feel classy than a new set of threads. Don't forget any part of your outfit either. Get yourself a new pair of shoes too. Ladies, don't forget the "bling." Even if you're looking for something a little less expensive, get some fun-looking costume jewelry that isn't as expensive or go all out and buy yourself that diamond necklace you've been eyeing. Gentleman, you don't have to be left out, how about those silver Darth Vader cufflinks you've been dying to buy but haven't gotten the opportunity. Well, now is the time. So you're gussied up like Beyonce or George Clooney, now what? Well, now you need to throw a great party! Have some people over and tell them to dress up too. Then roll out the red carpet runner. This is a great way to ring in the New Year, show a great film, or just have a party! Do you really need more reason to buy a red carpet? Get a step and repeat so you can see the flashing bulbs and really feel like a star! Go ahead, feel like a celebrity. Everyone should feel glamorous, appreciated, adored, and loved. Your cat won't mind if you spend hours practicing your paparazzi wave in the mirror. And better yet, they certainly won't tell anyone. You'll look like a pro at your next red carpet event!
