Many small business thrive using websites that are online auction houses or online market places. When you decide to move your small business to these platforms you literally open yourself up to a whole world of new opportunities, with customers from around the globe potentially ordering your product. The problem is that with this new business comes new organizational tasks and a need for a more complex and expedited shipping process.

The first thing you should consider when taking your small business global is the shipping. Having people around the world demanding your product means nothing if you can't get it to them. You should shop around for a variety of shipping labels. Some countries may require certain information be on the package or the associated invoice. You need to know your way around shipping, which means you need to know your way around shipping labels. It may seem complex but most vendors of shipping labels can give the information you need about shipping labels, invoices, and even individual countries postal systems.

It's not all about making sure your package stays on track once you put it in that mailbox, it's also about having the right packing labels on your end. Properly designed and used packing labels and invoices can really improve the speed with which you are able to pack and ship boxes. More importantly, however, it can cut down on the returns due to mispacked boxes. This leads to costly returns and more important can lead to negative reviews and angry customers.

As your business grows you are also going to need custom forms made. These can be for anything from agreements with your suppliers to the form you ask potential employees to fill out. Don't think you can cut cost by making these forms in house. Let a professional draw up your forms. In house forms can confusing and poorly designed. You may find yourself with a lot of blank areas on a "filled out" form because the person doing the filling didn't notice them. A custom form designer will build a form with the information you need, but more importantly will organize it in a way that it is easy for the reader to get through and makes it is harder to miss a section.

Keep in mind that often perforated paper makes for good forms. This is true if the form needs to split up, with some information going to one area of your business and the other part going to a different part of your business.
