Keeping your hospital scrubs clean is important not just for sanitary purposes but also for your mental state of well being. We have all been in a situation or two where the stress and strain of something we were doing compounded with a sense that our environment or we ourselves were not so clean and it can really make matters a heck of a lot worse. Getting in the shower or simply washing your hands and face can almost immediately reduce stress in many a situation. It allows you to reset and the pleasantness of simply not feeling like you smell bad or not feeling a sticky stressed sweat residue on your skin can work wonders. In a more pronounced way the stresses of working in the medical profession can be quite great. I often tell people stressed about mistakes made at their jobs that if they mess up no one is likely to die. Unlike most jobs, which are all in one way or another stressful in their own right, in the medical field you are literally dealing with life and death. A mistake or a rash decision made because you are feeling tense can be a significant setback for someone's entire life. If having clean nursing scrubs can make you feel better about things then it should be a top priority for you and the facility (hospital, office, clinic) that you work for to have some extra clean nursing scrubs available to you. If you buy scrubs online you can get a lot of discount nursing scrubs for a low low price. It is not a reflection on their quality luckily as many brand name fashion brands now make scrubs that are both reasonably priced and of the highest quality. You can work assuredly and efficiently without concern for any sort of spillage and any kind of unsanitary material getting on your clothes because you always have some extra sets of scrubs in a locker to fall back on when you are done doing your vitally important work. I for one am incredibly concerned about the comfort of any medical worker who may have to see me in an emergency, so I find the quality and cleanliness of nursing scrubs to be a fairly significant concern. It is in the best interest of anyone involved to keep nurses, doctors and orderlies feeling comfortable, confident and clean. This will keep their heads in the game when it truly matters the most and it is likely to make many of us live a little longer.
