Going from a small bed to a larger one is always a wonderful feeling. Whether you are moving out of your home and going from a twin to a full, or having a significant other move in and need a queen so you can both sleep comfortably, you need to be prepared for both the cost as well as with a checklist of everything you'll need to go from small to large easily. First, you need to take a look at your bed frame. Some bed frames have the ability to expand to fit larger mattresses when you upgrade. This can be from a twin to a full or a full to a queen, or even queen to king. Check to see if you already have this option before buying a frame because it could save you a good deal of money. If you do need to get a frame, start with something basic if you are on a budget, then save up for a fancier frame with a headboard or posts and all. Then you'll have to look at the mattress. The type of mattress that is right for you is going to differ from anyone else, that\'s why there are so many choices. Some people do better with a firm mattress because it gives more support for their spine. Some after more comfortable in a softer mattress and enjoy the feeling of sleeping on a cloud. Take your time when picking out a mattress because you'll be using it for some time. When you are looking to buy blankets, you have quite a bit to choose from as well. Your regular cotton sheet set is important, making sure you pick up the right size. Cotton comes in a variety of thread counts, the higher the count, the higher the price. You also have the option of other fabrics like satin and silk, but keep in mind these take a lot more care and sometimes need special dry cleaning. Looking at blankets and comforters, think about getting a set. It usually is the most cost effective choice because you get a comforter, usually a bed skirt, and often throw pillows or other accents to come along with it. Your bedding often sets the tone of your entire room, so think carefully about pattern and color before purchasing. Lastly, you may want to opt for a brand new pillow that fits the size of your bed better. In general, replacing your pillow every couple of years is key to helping out any neck or back problems and for a good night's sleep.
