In order to have a young and glowing skin one has to take some time to read the skin and reverse the signs of summer. Sunshine, heat, humidity, chlorine are the major factors that causes wrinkles or age spots. Sometimes this can also lead to serious illness like skin cancer. Higher heat and humidity might cause more rashes, breakouts and clogged pores where the chlorine dries out the skin. There are few basic summer skin tactics that helps an individual maintain a healthy and glowing skin. Moisturizers must never be skipped on summers too. Instead of going in for heavy creamy formulas one can choose light water based formula to maintain the balance. Moisturizers can be used both on body and face too. Using sunscreens are also important, one can choose products which provide broad spectrum of protection to protect the skin from Ultraviolet and Ultraviolet B with minimum sun protection factor 15. Generous application of sunscreens is a must for individuals before going out in sun. Reapplication of sunscreen lotions after every two hours and after swimming is recommended. Lips of a person are very susceptible to skin cancer. So it is better to wear a broad spectrum of sun protective skin balm which contains SPF of at least 15 to keep the lips sun safe and supple. One can also opt for summer make ups that contain liquid foundation, mineral-based powder with minimum SPF of 15. Choosing natural-looking glow along with a touch of bronze instead of creamy lush is considered a wise option. Water proof mascara for streak free swimming and replace lipstick with lip gloss. The process of exfoliating is very important during summer as sun, sand, sweat and sunscreen actually increases the amount of dead cells in the body. One can slough the dead skin off by using scrub or loofah. Apart for all the moisturizing, toning and exfoliating the skin summer clothing is considered to be an important factor. Summer clothing does not mean to cover up the whole body from head to toe, but instead of short sleeved cloths one can choose cloths that have long sleeves. This ensures that sun rays do not fall straight on the skin surface. One can also use wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses while out in the sun. Tightly woven, darker fabrics are considered a better choice than lightweight, light hued fabrics. One can also go in for clothing that is specifically for sun protection.
