Leaks: Aquatic Vampire Sucking the Earth Dry

Many of us know the ravages that vampirism can bring. We have seen them in movies like Interview the Vampire, The Twilight Saga, Let the Right One In, Dracula: Dead and Loving it and Near Dark. Our Earth, however, faces the scourge of some even more powerful vampires (NOT The space vampires described in Colin Wilson's 1976 novel, The Space Vampires… which is obviously what you were thinking of).

Most of you have probably deduced by this point that I am talking about leaks.

Leaks are the vampire that sinks its teeth into our Earth and pilfers our water supply. Blood does not interest this hydro-Nosferatu, its only water that will slick his ungodly thirst. He will only rest when our water bills are outrageously high, and all of the planets potable water has been squandered.

Most of you are probably on your way to the store now to load up on garlic, cross bows, and silver but I am going to have to stop you. The only way to defeat this environmental menace is with sound leak detection techniques. Having a pool leak or leaky plumping is akin to inviting this monster into your home.

Annually in the US, leak-suck downs about 1 trillion gallons of water a year (EPA estimates). That is enough water annually for several large cities. This is one thirsty beast. As wasteful for your bank account as for the environment, leaks are an all too common problem with an unexpectedly easy solution, leak detection. Most vampires are happy just sucking your blood, but this one wants water and money. Leaks must be stopped.

Do you want to avoid being sucked dry? Call a leak detection service. They will be able to spot the problem before it can really sink its teeth into your home leaving property damage and shame in its wake. A leaky pool can turn your backyard into a muddy trench; don't let this happen to you. Do yourself and the environment a service by having your home checked for leaks as soon as possible.

Like vampire hunting, leak detection needs to be left up the experts. You don't want some inexperienced leak detector poking around your house, damaging your property, in a futile attempt to locate plumping leaks. New technology allows us to search for leaks using infrared lasers. This method is more effective and less invasive.

Hopefully this health dose of fear has inspired you to protect yourself and the environment from leaks of all sorts.
