A Last Minute Trip On A Charter Bus

Sometimes the best trips we take are the ones we plan at the last minute, the ones we literally decide to go on two days before said trip. It might be because the family or roommates are driving you nuts, or you had some leftover vacation days you didn't know about, or you just need to get out of the house. Whatever the reason, a last minute trip can be just what you need to unwind. Whether you go it alone or with friends, you still need to plan and you need to do it quickly.

Often you can snag some pretty cheap plane tickets if you order just weeks or days before. However, airline tickets are still astronomically high thanks to a tanking economy and rising gas prices. If your trip is overseas or 3,000 miles away, you have no choice. However, for a last minute trip, it might be better not to stray too far from home -maybe just a few states over. A charter bus is a great alternative and can be much more comfortable than a train. Charter buses will get you there in a relatively short amount of time and they also provide you ample opportunities to make a few pit stops along the way, to enjoy even more areas than you originally expected. A train ride is straight through and you cannot afford to miss connections.

In addition to great transportation deals, great hotel deals are also always available. Websites like Expedia, Priceline, and Travelocity already offer great discounts, but the closer you book to the day of the trip, the better the discounts. A hotel would rather slash the price than leave a perfectly good room vacant. You might be able to stay in some extremely luxurious hotels for half the price. It definitely beats staying in the Bates Motel.

Unlike a trip you've been planning for months, you will play each day by ear. You have not had time to research all the best restaurants or must-see attractions. It can be fun getting a little lost in a new city. You never know what great find you'll stumble upon. Just make sure that you do not wander into any dangerous areas. DO take the time to research that, if nothing else. The main thing to remember is to just have fun and to relax. Enjoy some tasty cuisine, check out the local shops, or just relax poolside all day.

A last minute trip does not have to be filled to the brim with adventures; it just needs to not be anywhere close to home! Let a charter bus take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
