There are several women who are faced with infertility as well as men and there are about 40% of these infertility problems that comes from Endometriosis. Endometriosis leads to women being infertile and for those that want a child there is very few options to help. Only do women have to deal with this disease but they additionally have to worry about not being able to have a child of their own. The main cause of endometriosis is not known but there are some thoughts as to what it is caused from and can include menstruation. The theory is that some of the lining of the uterus gets backed up into a woman's fallopian tubes. Yet another theory is that there is a genetic abnormality that takes place at birth which entails cells that develop on the external part of the uterus at the time of fetal development. There are a number of ways that it can affect a woman's infertility and of course there is still a chance that a woman can have a child. It can be a little more difficult but with procedures such as IVF, this is much possible. However, not all women who are battling endometriosis are ruled as being infertile. If every woman who suffered with this was infertile, there would not be as many women having babies across the globe. There would also a frantic rush to look for a cure or way to help women. There are about 40% of all women that have a laparoscopy procedure done as a part of their IVF procedure. It has also been shown that these women have some type of endometriosis and it is only at that point that this is diagnosed. There are a few different aspects where endometriosis affects a woman's fertility. Adhesions inside the pelvic area may be found as well as scarring and these things may cause infertility as well. The fallopian tubes as well as the ovaries in some cases end up sticking to either each other or the pelvic lining which additionally contributes to infertility. Endometriosis may lead to the ovaries being misplaced or not in the proper position. The fallopian tubes may not be positioned properly and therefore eggs are not going to be able to transfer properly to the uterus. This condition also can cause damage or even cause blockage in a woman's fallopian tubes. This means the eggs are not going to be able to pass through to a woman's uterus. There is yet another factor about endometriosis that has affected a woman's infertility and this is having too much prostaglandins. These hormones are essential to the body and they are what aids in fertilization as well as the implanting aspect. Having too much of this hormone can interfere with the IVF process as well as infertility. If you feel your infertility may be caused from this condition, you should check with your doctor and learn how you too can have a child on your own even while dealing with this condition.
