Solid rubber tires are also made to be durable, but they are made completely solid rather than being filled with air like the pneumatic tires. There is no risk of getting a flat tire or having the tire lose air with the solid rubber tires, as there is no air to leak out. There will also be no cushion between the tire and the floor, as the solid rubber only has so much elasticity. They are designed to last for many years, but pneumatic tires will still be the best type of tires to use to ensure that the forklift lasts as long as possible. Polyurethane press-on tires are perfect for indoor use. The press-on style of tire is much easier to apply the forklift tires to the wheel, but they are not as durable as the other styles of tire. These polyurethane tires have excellent grip and provide amazing traction on smooth concrete, and the rolling resistance of these tires is very low. They are guaranteed to have a long and productive life when used indoors on smooth concrete, but they are not designed for outdoor use. In order to ensure that you select the correct tyres for a forklift, it is vital that you examine the purpose of your forklift. Forklift tires to be used in an outdoor setting will usually be very different than the tires that will be used indoors. As you go shopping for the best forklift tires, keep the above information in mind. Not only can it help you to choose the tire that will provide your forklift with the best grip and traction for its work, but you can be certain that the tires you choose will make your forklift last as long as possible.
