The IVF process can begin with stimulating increased egg production and can help infertile couples create a family of their own. Ovaries are stimulated with drugs to help with egg production and there are other medications which help prepare the uterine lining for the eggs to burrow themselves into. The eggs are going to be retrieved once fertilization happens and the embryos are then surgically implanted back into a woman's uterus for hopes of leading to a couple having a baby 9 months later. The suppression of the pituitary is going to be done with a number of IVF medications and there will be daily injections taken for a few weeks. The daily hormones include stimulating a number of eggs as well as preparing the body. This allows a couple more chances to have a child as opposed to once a month.

Antagonist Protocol

The antagonist can often times be thought of as somewhat related to the agonist. However, with this, Lupron is not going to be used to stimulate egg growth as there are other options utilized. These newer drugs take one day as opposed to the traditional 10 days with Lupron. There can be a few advantages to doing it this way as there are not as many injections on a daily basis and there are even some professionals that tend to believe that decreased suppression of the pituitary can actually help to increase the ovary's in some women who are a little low on their eggs. These drugs are known as Cetrotide as well as Ganirelix. In regards to the agonist option, there is a shot of HCG before the eggs are retrieved.

Natural IVF

Using the natural IVF method involves using a woman's eggs and pairing them together with a man's sperm. There are not going to be any drug protocols to help with stimulating egg production. There are no hormones either and this involves simply using the egg that is released each month and then paired with the sperm. This comes with lower IVF fees and costs which can be less stressful and can allow a coupe to partake in more cycles. This can also though come with a lower chance of being pregnant.

Flare Protocol

This form of protocol can be used when other IVF cycles and protocols have not worked. The drug Lupron is used however it is given in much smaller amounts. This is going to help with releasing more FSH which will come from the pituitary and is going to help with stimulating ovarian responses. Lupron is taken and then days following high amounts of other hormones drugs are taken which help with stimulating more egg growth. The Lupron will be taken until it comes time for the HCG shit. This particular protocol helps with natural production as well as the injections which are designed to help produce higher quality eggs and follicles which help to increase the chances of having a child.

These are all great forms of IVF and can all be helped to help you have a child. Talk to your doctor to learn about the best options for you.
