Trendy Brand Name Watches

Like other high end fashion accessories, different brand name watches for women are showcased in different seasons. For the Fall/Winter 2011-2012 season, certain watches are in style. However, when choosing a luxury watch, it is important that you make an educated decision so that you get the watch that is best for you. To do so, you need to understand the definitions of different watch terms.

Perhaps due to a cultural fascination with knowing how technology works, skeleton watches are exceedingly popular this year. Skeleton watches have cutout designs that enable wearers to peek at the inner mechanical workings of their time pieces. The tank watch, originally created by Louis Cartier in 1917, who was inspired by the tanks used by the military during World War I. The watch's linear angles and sturdy proportions ensure that it is still one of the most popular watches of today. The unisex watch is more attractive than its name indicates, and comes with standard rectangular, round, or oval watch faces. All brand name watches, however, have the same basic mechanics.

The bezel is the ring that encircles the watch face and holds in place the crystal, which is the clear cover over the watch face or dial (watch face). Although every watch has these components, their style depends on style and watch type. Omega Ladies watches, for example, are either sporty, with large watch faces and thick straps, or sleek, with smaller watch faces and more delicate wristbands. The athletic Omega Speedmaster Ladies watch has both purpose and style. Part of the Speedmaster series, the watch's features include a chronometer, calendar, and chronograph. The red crocodile strap is the perfect shade to easily transition from summer to autumn wear. This watch is water resistant up to 300 feet and perfect for tracking yourself while swimming or jogging.

Tag Heuer Ladies watches have distinctly feminine touches. They tend to feature narrow wrist bands with sturdy straps or chain link bracelets. The Tag Heuer Carera Ladies watch is very elegant looking, with a polished stainless steel case, white mother of pearl dial color, and a polished stainless steel bracelet strap. The double locking fold-over clasp is effortlessly subtle. This watch is water resistant up to 165 feet, and clearly designed for the more luxurious pursuits of the four seasons; it will complement a sundress as well as a sweater.

Certain fashion trends ebb and flow or evaporate completely. Brand name watches, though, remain consistent, popular accessories that suit every season.
