We live in a world run on computers and email. There is a global connectivity that is rooted in our connection to the internet that we never could have imagined a few decades ago. It has been great for businesses, people, artists, and obscure dissidents in troubled countries to get their messages out and make action from thought. It is a fantastic thing on a global scale and can increase your influence in new ways. That said though to monetize a thing or create true direct connection you may still have to connect directly. A great way to do that is to think more locally and aim lower with your potential audience, which might require copy machines to make actual tangible fliers and advertisements for your event or product. I have always found in my own time as a promoter of local events that all the Facebook invites in the world could not even begin to match the direct reaction of a poster made on color copiers and hung in local bathrooms. It is as if people are asking for someone to engage them when they are not in the middle of promoting themselves on the web. Catch me in my off hours and you are way more likely to get me to go to your event. It is for that reason that I insisted the venue I was promoting for go out and invest in a copier lease. This would make event promotion easier and more effective. Office copy machines are a great asset to anyone trying to promote anything. Using high speed scanners that are often standard with color copiers these days can be a great way to make your advertisements into eye popping (or at the very least engaging) pieces of art. It is a way to establish what it is you are hoping people will purchase or come to. Basically it is a great way to invent something that is a part of your whole experience. All the web promotion in the world will not get you something as real as a piece of art touting the experience you are selling. Businesses have to learn how to engage people on a number of levels if they hope to get return on their investments. Copy machines are a good way to make at least one sort of experience better. Plus the need for other paper products besides advertisements is a constant in most business situations. It will eventually help you organize your whole situation.
