Though it usually entails monthly expenses, what you get in return is constant surveillance, with lots of motion detectors sensitive to the tiniest of movements. Besides, there are some types of alarm systems that are connected directly to the local police and fire department, which send their staff right away if there is an emergency. Another good aspect of installing a home alarm is that it may raise the value of your property, in case you ever plan to sell it. Most people consider safety to be their highest priority.
