Head Scarves Are Fashionable Hair Accessories for Women

Although fashions change through the year, one accessory trend that remains consistent regardless of the season is the popularity of head scarves, head wraps, and other hair accessories for women. These items are elegant tools to keep your hair off your neck to beat the heat or distract from a bad hair day with a pretty decoration.

When it's hot outside, such as during the dog days of August, you probably just want to keep your hair from sticking to your neck and back with sweat. A standard bun or ponytail is a very effective way of managing this problem, but these hairstyles may feel boring after a while. So, dress them up with colorful head scarves! A head scarf is both functional and fashionable. It soaks up sweat, protects your scalp from the sun, and masks any humidity-induced frizz that might be plaguing your hair. A head scarf may be sequined or patterned, or multi-colored. You may have one in every color to match any outfit, and headscarves are sold for inexpensive prices at a variety of drugstores, boutiques, and online specialty shops.

Every woman, at some point in her life, has suffered through a bad hair day. When you feel grungiest, you may look your most elegant. If your bad hair days make you want to a paper bag over your head, fret no longer! You may turn a bad hair day into a great hair accessory day; it may be your opportunity to experiment with different headbands and head wraps, any of which is a great distraction from the fact that you may not have had time to shower that morning. There are several reasons for a bad hair day: the aforementioned humidity and other weather conditions, a bad haircut or dye job that you have neither adjusted to nor fixed, etc. A well selected woman's hair accessory looks whimsical rather than weird. You may feel even more sophisticated when you consider the fashionable woman who wore head wraps before you such as Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief or Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Whether you are cruising down a winding road in the French Riviera or rambling down Route 69 in California, a head wrap is a classic, chic way to preserve your hairdo. A scarf or wrap even protects your clean hair from pollen and other allergens. Head scarves and head wraps are versatile, stylish necessities for any glamorous fashionista.
