When you begin your own business there is so much to do and you will feel incredibly overloaded. It's understandable that you will be wearing stress on your sleeve. You have a lot on your plate and you need to be aware of the items your business needs right from the start. Without the right equipment and accessories, your business will not have the most successful start. High up on your list of items to buy will be desks and chairs. Without them, people are going to just be plain uncomfortable! Next comes the computers which no business can survive without. It is your connection to the rest of the world and you can expect to stare at this screen for the next few decades. Quality computers are vital to your business, as well as a fast internet connection. Employees shouldn't be bogged down by computers running Windows ME. (Not that anyone used that version anyway when it came out!) But out of all the equipment you're going to need, next to the computer, the copier is quintessential. I don't know what my office is printing out all the time, but there is always someone standing next to the printer at some point in the day. If I had to say it was one specific department, it would definitely be HR. The people from Human Resources spend more time making copies and faxing documents than the rest of the office combined. But regardless of who's using it, the point is that the copier is always being used. Because of such constant usage, Xerox copy machines need to be top quality brand names. They need to be extremely efficient and in good working order. This is the machine you need to invest your money in. Just like the computers, these machines will be used throughout each day and you can't afford to skimp on a cheap model. They can be expensive, but many companies will allow you to lease office copy machines instead. This is a great idea for any size business, big or small. Big businesses will need multiple machines and this can save you a great deal of money. And when a newer and better model comes out, trade in the old for the new. Remember to purchase a copier that suits the size of your business. Knowledgeable salespeople can help you determine which machine will be best for your company. Purchasing a machine that is meant for ten people will do you no good in an office of thirty. The line for the printer will be wrapped around the office! Copy machines are the hub of the office and with the right one, your business can run smoothly and efficiently.
