Custom promotional products can often times be better than any business card you hand out. A flimsy piece of paper will get shoved into someone's wallet and potentially never viewed again. But, business promotional items are products that you can use every day, such as imprinted tote bags and promotional water bottles. Every time the items are used, that person is going to see your logo stamped across them. They will be impossible to forget. There's a reason people lean more towards business cards -they're cheap! Buying a box of a few hundred business cards is far cheaper than investing in a hundred imprinted mugs. You might save money in the short run, but how much potential business will you lose? A business is an investment and it takes spending some green to make the green. However, you also don't have to spend a fortune trying to turn a profit. There are plenty of ways to save on promotional items. Firstly, you have to shop around for companies offering the lowest price. This can be a piece of cake when you search for companies online. You can easily compare products and prices to see who is offering the best deals on quality products. It's not just all about low prices. Don't be fooled by an extremely low price because the company might make you order a minimum of 300 items. Do you really need to order 300 mugs? Ordering in bulk is the way to save, but be mindful of these minimum requirement purchases because they may put you over budget. Although clients will love getting super expensive gadgets and gifts, stocking them may be pricey; regardless of from whom you order. Determine a set budget and see how you can essentially get the most bang for your buck. Order fewer of the more expensive items and only hand them out to more serious clients. And, order larger quantities of smaller items. Be wary of prices for color printing. Promotional item companies are happy to put your logo on anything you order but they may charge you additional fees for four color process printing or additional text and images. Your company's logo and phone number are the most important features on the items. Other images may look pretty but it's an added cost you don't need to incur. Distributing custom promotional items to your customers builds their loyalty to your company and provides you with a method of continuous advertising.
