From the swinging pirate ship to a huge Ferris wheel and all the more thrilling rides in between, it's a must visit. It's also a hop, skip and jump away from the New York Aquarium, which is well worth spending the early part of your day at.
Another great summer activity are the public pools. There are 54 public pools run by the New York Parks Department. That's a lot to visit, including some that can be found in Brooklyn, right near your Brooklyn hotel. There are eight outdoor pool and three indoor pools in Brooklyn and swimming is free. Because of this fact you might want to show up as early as you can! Many of the public pools in the city share space with some beautiful parks, so grab a blanket and plan a picnic after you go swimming, to dry off.
Mini-golf is another summer fun activity, but for a long time New York City didn't have many options. Recently in Manhattan, a new mini-golf course has been open on Pier 25 and for the low price of $5 an adult, $4 for children under 14, you can enjoy some holes and show off your golf prowess. A volleyball court has also been opened, so you can head from one to another with ease.
There are so many things to do around your Brooklyn hotel for the summer that you can find fun in the sun. Summer is such a beautiful time of year so you should be sure to spend your New York City days and nights outside as much as possible.
