Jewish art is a thing of beauty. Whether the artwork specifically focuses on Jewish culture and life or the artist comes from Jewish decent, it's something to really be admired. There are plenty of museums all around the world that have beautiful Jewish art on display and are historical locations in their own right.

One of the most famous museums would be the Jewish Museum of New York. Located on the Upper East Side on 5th avenue and 92nd street, it is one of the world's largest institutions for Jewish art and culture. The museum itself is located inside of a mansion that was donated by Frieda Warburg who was the widow of philanthropist and businessman Felix Warburg. Today the museum has more than 26,000 different objects, from paintings and statues to sculptures and photographs. It is definitely a must see if you are looking for the best place to check out Jewish artwork.

The National Museum of American Jewish History, in Philadelphia, is a huge museum with a mix of both art and historical artifacts that cover the history of Jewish culture in the United States. From stories of immigrants who journeyed to the United States to start a new life, to artwork from some of the greatest Jewish American artists, there is a lot to be seen at this museum. Philadelphia itself is rich full of America's history, so this museum should be one stop of many.

The Museum of Jewish Art and History in France covers culture and art specifically in Europe. Located in a 17th century hotel, the building itself houses a ton of history. There are Torah ornaments, manuscripts, and paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries. Of course, the Israel Museum is a must see if you find yourself there. It has 10 different wings and is ranked among the world's leading art and archeology museums.

If it's Jewish art you are looking for, you will find tons of it here. The museum is incredibly large, in fact the largest institution in the state of Israel. It should be a top of the list site to see. No matter where you travel in the world, you are likely to find a Jewish art museum, rich in beautiful paintings, sculptures and statues and full of historical significance. These museums are great places to go on a vacation, or just to have a day trip to if they happen to be in your own hometown.
