Why We Travel: From Europe Airline Tickets to a Cheap Flight to Israel

Whenever I meet people who haven't traveled out of the country I'm very careful to make it seem like they're not missing out. I don't want them to feel any worse for being provincial. They can probably sense that there are things out in the world that they have yet to experience, and their reason for not doing so could be fear, lack of funds, or it could even be a general distrust of the unknown, but they must surely understand, deep down within, although they may try to hide it with ignorance and incredulity, that the broad profundity of life is better grasped when you have seen as much of it as possible.

There are so many things in the world to see, so many people to meet, cuisines to try, and languages to understand that one must wonder which ones should be seen first. A good friend, upon the suggestion of a two week cross country road trip, made a fine point by noting that he would rather see another country before his own. But I rejoined that he should take heed to understand the customs and terrain of his own land before he venture out into the rest of the world. Whereby he said that he was a citizen of the world and that anywhere he chose to visit would be just as valuable as his own country. This went on for some time until I finally convinced him that he ought to treat the trip across his own country as though he were travelling abroad, as a rich and vibrant experience, and that due to sheer accessibility the longer trip across the United States may prove just as, if not more, valuable than a shorter trip farther away.

But his point was valid: that there is much to be gained in visiting the most remote and far-flung place; namely due to how we may recognize our brethren acting in accordance with similar customs and ideas that we value and cherish in our fatherland, as well as to understand how these ancestral neighbors differ.

Only after balancing the similarities and differences may one begin to consider himself a member of the global community and therefore be all the more willing to travel with Europe airline tickets and on cheap flights to Israel, as well as to other holy and politically and culturally important cities. If you have never left our country, I implore you, buy Europe airline tickets today and see what the world is like.
