When you think of celebrities and what they are wearing, you think of the high designer fashions that gain their reputation from having such big stars wear them. But lately more and more celebrities are mixing high and low end fashions into their outfits, from their every day walk the dog clothing to the ensembles they wear on red carpets. Young and new celebrities are some of the ones we've really been seeing embracing the trend. Emma Watson, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift are all known for mixing dresses from the likes of H&M with Louie Vuitton shoes. Even the First Lady Michelle Obama has mixed and matched high and low and done it with class. Some other popular stores that celebrities have been sporting gear from are The Gap and Target. It's a trend that is definitely going to stick around as long as people are frugal. The easiest way to delve into the mixing is with fashion accessories. This goes both ways. You can wear a completely high end outfit and add a couple of necklaces from Forever 21. You can also wear something more affordable overall but acessorize with a Cartier watch or Ed Hardy clutch. It's an easy way to add a bit of the other side without it seeming so obvious that it clashes. Another great choice that a lot of celebrities pull off is the mixing of a high end dress with low end shoes or vice versa. If you splurge on the dress, consider $30 pumps to go along with it. Or save on the dress but go all out on designer shoes for women. Again, there is no clash between the two as long as they compliment each other in style. It's interesting to see celebrities embrace the frugality of mixing designer fashions with low end pieces, since we all just assume they have millions of dollars to burn. But them jumping on to the bandwagon is letting people see that it's easy to get a million dollar look by just splurging on one aspect of your outfit instead of the whole thing. People love to emulate the popular so it's a good thing that these celebrities in being role models in show that you can enjoy designer fashions and still be sensible with your money. So take a chance with what is in your closet and you'll be surprised how well opposites can go together.
