When it comes to setting up a luxury retail store, it's all about the decor. You already sell the luxury items, whether it's fine jewelry or designer clothing. But you need to have your space have the right ambiance that lets a person know that they've entered a store of true luxury. There's a few different ways you can do so. First, think about flooring. You don't want ugly tiling or a boring wood floor. You want people to walk in and see that your floor is there to accommodate them, to provide a sense of comfort. Commercial carpeting is the way to go. Darker colors seem to suit a more luxurious style well. Anything too bright well be garish as well as much harder to clean. It's easier to let a dark purple rug get a little dirty before a steam clean than a white one. Make sure you measure your store properly before getting any commercial carpeting installed. If you don't want to do this yourself, most companies can do it for you and give you an estimate on the cost. If a full rug isn't going to work, try Karastan area rugs. These are classic, traditional style rugs that are going to look regal no matter where you put them. Sell top of the line furniture? Use these to accent your room set ups so that they look even better than ever. Make your store really fancy with chandeliers or decorative wall sconces for lighting. Both will set the mood as if your customers just walked into a mansion of sorts. The romantic lighting style will definitely exude luxury much more than brash overhead lighting will. Investing in some beautiful wall art is another way to spruce up the place. Whether it's a famous painting or just a abstract landscape, any kind of framed art will create a sense of regalement, even if the painting itself wasn't worth as much as it looks. That's the key, spending a little while looking like you spent a lot. Unless the most discerning eye in art comes in to your store, most people won't realize the difference. Lastly, having a seating area of some kind will benefit your guests. It's custom of a more high end retail store to have nice chairs or couches for those who need to get off their feet while their significant other or friend continues browsing. With both this and commercial carpeting, shoppers will feel as comfortable as in their own homes.
