Why Invest in Designer Sunglasses

Everyone has had a cool pair of cheap sunglasses. The fashionably colored lenses, the way they fit your face, it's all so perfect - until you put them in your bag and they wind up cracked. Whatever, they were only ten bucks. And you begin a search for new cheap sunglasses that will replace and possibly outdo the recently destroyed ones.

But wait. What if instead of spending ten to fifteen dollars every couple of months, you simply invested in a pair of quality designer sunglasses. A pair of Ray Ban Aviators may be eight to ten times the cost, but you will have them for a long time - years, if you take good care of them.

That's the key. Taking good care of them. If you're one of those people who loses things easily - wallet, camera, phone, maybe designer sunglasses aren't for you. Because there are few feelings worse than remembering that you left your sunglasses on the bus, on the way to the beach. But if you are relatively responsible and can trust yourself with accessories such as an iPod or a nice phone, then discount designer glasses are a must-have.

The case and your attention to your new sunglasses will keep the sunglasses around for at least a couple of years. And by that time you can even invest in another pair and begin a designer sunglasses collection.

Once you decide to buy a pair of designer sunglasses, think about what style you want. Do you prefer Ray Ban aviators or the Ray Ban Wayfarer? By the way, there is a recently released pair of the Ray Ban folding Wayfarer, which solves your problem if you are scared of leaving your sunglasses in the bottom of your bag and finding them cracked. There are other styles, such as the Ray Ban Predator, and brands too, but most are slight deviations from these two families of sunglasses.

Choose which one looks better on you. If you have a round face, chances are the Wayfarer with a slightly squarer lens will be more up your alley. Conversely, if you have a longer face, the aviators are your best bet. Not to say that you can't mix and match. And polarized sunglasses selectively reduce glare, which is especially handy for water sports or other outdoor activities. Horizontally polarized light is blocked by the vertical polarized sunglasses. Before you invest in designer sunglasses, these are good tips to keep in mind.
